Class 1 & 2 sharing

Yesterday, Class 2 came down to Class 1 and shared with us their amazing stories that they have written. Class1 loved listening to all their different stories.

Reading in the Dark

Robert and Sonia Delaunay

In Class 2 this afternoon, we looked at some art work created by Robert and Sonia Delaunay, who use a mixture of warm and cold tones in their geometric paintings. We decided to have a go at creating our own. They looked fantastic!

STEM afternoon

This afternoon in Class 2, we had an opportunity to create remote controlled cars. This was done through the use of bluetooth motors and lego pieces. The children had such an amazing time doing this. Big thank you to Ian from Junior STEM for leading this session.

Year 1 Cooking

Today with Mrs Brown-Lee, the year 1’s made absolutely delicious sausage rolls. Thank you to Mrs Brown-Lee for her amazing help.

Jackson Pollock Art

Last week in Class 2, we learnt all about Jackson Pollock and how he uses different colours to show different feelings in his paintings. We then created our own paintings inspired by Jackson Pollock. We did this using syringes and squirted watered down paint over different coloured backgrounds. As you can see, they look fantastic!
