This afternoon in Class 2, we did a music lesson in which we were beginning to learn to sing a new song: Lean on Me by Bill Withers. We were identifying the correct tempo and cues. As you can see, we are absolutely amazing singers in Class 2 – definitely have the X Factor!
Creating Sculptures
This afternoon in Class 2, we delved into the realm of sculpture, looking at abstract pieces. We then created our own sculptures using spaghetti and marshmallows. It was very tricky to make them structurally sound however, through persevering they came out great!

Zoo Trip
Wow! What an amazing trip to the zoo we had today. A great day full of discovery and laughter. A massive thank you to all of our parent helpers – we couldn’t have done it without you.
Yayoi Kusama
This afternoon, Class 2 joined Class 1 in some collaborative art. We looked at the work of artist Yayoi Kusama and how she saw that dots can be seen everywhere. We then made a viewfinder inspired by her work, it was good fun.
Our Fabulous Coronation Street Party!
The PTFA was kind enough to organise a whole school event to celebrate the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla and, as you can see, lots of fun was had by all! Thanks again for all the hard work that was put in to getting this ready.

Rolls, rolls and more rolls
On Tuesday in PE, Class 2 we learnt how to complete many different types of gymnastic rolls including a forward roll and a pencil roll.
Bulbs!
Yesterday in science, we cut open some tulip bulbs to discover what their insides look like. We then drew diagrams of the dissection of the bulbs.
Aztec prints
This afternoon, we created our own Aztec prints using different resources around our classroom. We explored how different ‘tools’ can create different patterns and which tools are the most effective.
