Fire Safety

Today in Class 2, we had some very special guests to come and teach us all about fire safety: ACTUAL FIREFIGHTERS. We had so much fun and learnt how to be safe. A massive thank you to Mr Avery and the fire department for coming to see us and giving us your time.

The Star Dome

This afternoon, Class One and Two both had the privilege of entering the Star Dome in which we saw lots of amazing stars, planets and much more. Sorry for the lack of pictures however, it was a tad dark in the dome.

Bonfire and Halloween Safety

This morning, we all had an assembly in which a fireman came to talk us through how to be safe on Halloween and Bonfire night. Harvest at Church

Yesterday, the entire school travelled down to church to celebrate our Harvest Festival. It was a lovely service and was great to see everyone back celebrating together. Thank you to all the parents who came to help us walk to church and who attended the service.

Celebrating Learning

Lights and Shadows

On Friday in Class 2, we learnt about what light sources were (both natural and man-made) and how they created shadows. We also looked at what materials created the best shadows. We then decided to draw around the shadows we created with chalk on the carpet. This was lots of fun!

Natural Art

On Friday in Class 2, we decided to have a look at an artist called Andy Goldsworthy who creates beautiful pieces of artwork out of natural resources. We decided to create some of our own using sticks, leaves and mud. As you can see they look AMAZING!

Safety Week
