Helicopter stories

Today in class one, we created some helicopter stories within Mr Fox. He would read part of a story and we would act it out. Afterwards, we then made a story of our own.

Jojo the Tortoise

Today in class one, we had a very exciting guest: Jojo the Tortoise. It was amazing to learn about him and his habitats.

Cricket skills!

It is cricket season and to celebrate the World Cup, class one are learning cricket skills. We learnt how to bowl to the wicket and how to bat at static ball. We then had a mini game. 

Cooking

We had a fun day cooking with Mrs Brown-Lee! We made delicious biscuits. Thank you for helping us today.

The Wise Man and the Foolish Man

Today we thought about the parable the Wise Man and the Foolish Man with our visitors from church. We thought about how we can build ourselves up to be confident and help others. We thought about the power of words and how we can help others with kind words.

Oh we do like to be beside the seaside!

Class one had a blast at Cudmore Grove today. We played on the equipment, made Hapa zone prints and looked for crabs on the beach. Many thanks to the parents that helped us.  

Fathers Day Tea

Thank you to Mrs Longhurst and Mrs Chambers for all their hard work organising another successful afternoon. Thank you to all the Dads, Grandads and Uncles for joining us. A wonderful community event!

Sports day practice

Today in class one, we completed some more Practice for sports day which is coming up. We completed two events today: hockey and hurdles. We had so much fun practicing and having team races.

Cudmore Grove

The children in Class 1 are excited about their trip out tomorrow. They do not have to wear school uniform but please ensure they have sensible clothing and footwear (no flip-flops please). The weather is looking brighter but please provide a coat just incase! Thank you

Cudmore Grove reminder

As you are aware, we are planning our re-scheduled class trip to Cudmore Grove this Friday. The weather is looking fine!
