Parachute fun!

This afternoon, Class One had fun with the parachute. We pretended to be a giant tortoise, moving slowly around the hall with the shell covering us. Then we played our favourite game ‘Cat and mouse’. It was great fun!!

Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday

Today Isobel came to talk to us in assembly about the history and importance of Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday to the Christian community.

Rocket man🎶

Today we have been painting some rockets for our moveable rocket men!

The sun is shining

Today, we took our maths learning outside in the glorious sunshine.  Our focus was doubling and we used natural objects to help us learn. We talked about how to write number sentences and the symbols of add and equals..  

Planting our beans

Today, Mr Fox helped us replant our magic beans as they had grown too big for our tubes. We really enjoyed feeling the compost and watering the beans. 

Strawberry the dragon

This week in class one we have been learning about Chinese New Year. The children and Mr Fox made a lucky dragon! ​ ​

Playground markings

Today, the School Council met with Luke to plan and design the playground markings. They worked hard using squared paper to plan the layout of the markings. The markings are due to be installed in the Summer term. Thank you Luke for all of our hard work and support with this project.


Today we tried lots of different Chinese food for Chinese New Year. This was really great to explore different tastes and flavours of different cultures.

Number work

Yesterday we did some number writing. It was really awesome to see how great we all are at writing numbers. We are looking forward to making a few tweaks to our formation to make our writing stunning!
