Observational drawings

Class one have been looking at our beautiful Buddlia which is an important pollinator for bees and butterflies. We used pastels to draw the Buddlia and focused on smudging for a softer picture. We think they are amazing!

Pantosaurus

Today, we watched the NSPCC song Pantosaurus.. We all discussed what is private, anything that is covered by pants and/or a swimming costume. If you would like to share this with your child again, please find video below. Mrs Whybrow

Story map

Today in class one, Reception created a story map based on the book ”The impatient caterpillar”. the children are excited to show this in our sharing assembly tomorrow.

Daniel and the Lion’s Den

Today, Reverend Tracey led our whole school worship on the theme of being courageous. After listening to the Old Testament Story of Daniel and the Lion’s Den, we talked about different ways that we are courageous in our daily lives.

Awesome Abberton part 1

We have had an amazing day at Abberton today. we have learnt about life cycles, found mini beasts and enjoyed pond dipping. We found newts, slugs, spiders (which Mrs Whybrow even looked at through a magnifying glass) an ant nest and much more more. Here are a few photos from the day.

Being safe online

Class 4 kindly shared their e safety learning with us this morning, explaining to us what they learnt with the 2 Johns The older children asked questions about how Class one use the internet or play games online, departing their knowledge based on the children.
