Sports Coach

Class one are lucky this half term as we have a Sports Coach every Friday. Today, we learnt about basketball.

Signing

This afternoon Class One impressed Mrs Archer with our BSL greetings. We learnt how to say Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Nice to meet you and many more. Ask your child is they can show you their greetings.

The year of the tiger!

Today, class one have been learning about the Chinese New Year and the animals of the zodiac. The children found out their animal sign too! For snack we tried some noodles, dipped sugar snap peas in sweet and sour sauce and also tried Black Bean sauce. Obviously we had to have prawn crackers too, yummy.

Breakfast for a knight.

We had a really fun time today making breakfast fit for a knight. We mixed porridge oats, chocolate and raisins with warm milk. The children compared it to a milkshake and very much enjoyed eating it.

Rogue gallery!

Today in class one, we imagined what the Brigends (from our focus story) looked like. The children spent a great deal of time on their drawings and as you can see from the photos below, they have imagined some scary rogues. Mrs Whybrow, Miss Ripton and Miss White

Attack and defend!

Today in PE, we used beanbags to attack a castle. Some of the children were tasked to defend their castle whilst their friends threw beanbags into the spaces of the castle walls. It was great fun!
