Science: electricity and circuits

We have carried out some very exciting learning this week in Class 3, on electricity and circuits!In science, we investigated the different components needed to make an electrical circuit and learnt about the scientific symbols used for these too.

World Book Day 2023

Today at D’Arcy School it’s World Book Day. This meant that lots of us came to school dressed as our favourite story characters. We all looked absolutely amazing!

Truthful

Today we continued our theme of being truthful in Collective Worship. We thought about times when it is difficult to tell the truth and why. We then went on to talk about people we can trust to talk to at home, in school and via helplines.

Storytelling

On Wednesday, we were visited by Simon, a storyteller who regaled us with stories. Our children listened fantastically and learned a lot. Some of us even impressed him with our own storytelling! It was a fantastic day and we look forward to doing more of the same in the future.
