Parachute fun!

This afternoon, Class One had fun with the parachute. We pretended to be a giant tortoise, moving slowly around the hall with the shell covering us. Then we played our favourite game ‘Cat and mouse’. It was great fun!!

Tennis

Today in PE we started tennis. We learnt how to hold the racket, balance a ball and start to bounce a ball on our rackets. We finished with a quick game where we had to hit the ball over the net.

Onomatopoeia (words that make sounds)

Today we looked at onomatopoeia. We thought about words we knew that make sounds (like splash, sizzle, fizz, crack). We watched a clip from a film without the sound and added the onomatopoeia words when we thought they we needed. Here is some of the work we produced afterwards.

Spelling Adventures

We have been working on spellings with the -sure or -ture endings. Getting a Pizza the Fraction!

This afternoon we have been applying our learning on fractions to making pizzas. I have been hugely impressed by our learning today – and this just topped it off brilliantly!

Today class 4 reached their 100 challenge! Between us we have successfully quizzed and scored 100% on 100 books. We are now already working towards the next hundred.
