We’ve had a super day!

Today in class 1 we had done lots of role play with the masks mr fox had made for us. This was really fun and cool.

Music – Keyboard

Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning to play the piano. On Tuesday we continued by looking at note lengths and learning to play a tune (Mary had a little lamb). We will try and upload some recordings we made of our playing this week.

Science

Today we investigated different states of matter. Some changes could be reversed others could not. We discussed the importance of fair testing and  recording our observations.

How to measure a dragon – Capacity

This morning we used the measuring cylinders. To start with we weren’t sure how to measure the capacity of different containers, but we soon got the hang of it. Finally we tried to think about how we might find the capacity of a dragons lungs!

Science week

This week we are investigating the world of Science. On Monday, we enjoyed some scientific experiments in assembly. Each class were set a number of key questions to investigate. Thank you Mrs Richards for your hard work leading this project and supporting staff and children too!

Jelly!

Today we made jelly ready for our snack tomorrow. We enjoyed feeling and smelling the jelly and noticed that it was squishy and sticky. Letters to Professor Dumbledore

This afternoon we wrote to Professor Dumbledore to thank him for accepting us into Hogwarts. We used our Quills and parchment just like Harry.

Morning Maths
