Great D’Arcy Bake Off

Well done to the Rota Kids for organising this weeks Bake Off. It was a hugely successful and popular event! Well done to all who participated.

Easter Service

Today we had the pleasure of Bishop Roger delivering our Easter Service. We sung lots of amazing Easter themed songs.

Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday

Today Isobel came to talk to us in assembly about the history and importance of Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday to the Christian community.

Playground markings

Today, the School Council met with Luke to plan and design the playground markings. They worked hard using squared paper to plan the layout of the markings. The markings are due to be installed in the Summer term. Thank you Luke for all of our hard work and support with this project.

Perseverance

Today, we continued with our theme of perseverance whilst attempting to complete some fun challenges! We talked about different strategies and tools that help us to persevere including learning from others and using resources. Noah’s Ark

On Monday, the Holy Council planned and delivered Collective Worship. The story of Noah’s Ark was chosen to support the them of persevering. Thank you to all the team for working together and well done!

Piano performance

This morning some children played some carols on the piano in Collective Worship. Thank you to Mrs Baulch for all her hard work teaching the children this term. Well done to all the children, you played beautifully!

Remembrance service

Today we held a Remembrance Service in school and held a period of silence. We reflected on the importance of learning from the past whilst thinking about how we can be peacemakers.

Operation Christmas Child

This year we are putting together some shoeboxes as part of Operation Christmas Child. We will be collecting for a boy and a girl aged 2-4 as well as a boy and girl aged 5-9.
