Year One homework

Please can you help your children practise their phase 2 tricky words. I have also put a list of High Frequency words in their reading records to learn. These will increase your child’s fluency when reading if they can read them by sight rather than relying on sounding out.  Many thanks.

Wacky welly walk

Thank you to all who sponsored Class One for our Wacky welly walk.  As it was so cold and rainy, we did a little outside and then we came in for 30 mins of continual movement.  It was fun.

Busy bees

We have been so very busy today in class one. We enjoyed the dressing up clothes and made bird feeders. Outdoors, we made metal detectors to try and find our lost shed key.

Awesome activities!

We have had the best day today! There have been a multitude of interesting things going on. From using adverbs to multiplying large numbers, reading groups to making salt dough, learning about Mary Anning to playing Battleships with latitude and longitude…oh and making salt dough fossils. We do love days like these!
