Today some children from Class 3 started their cycling lessons. Good luck to all the pupils and we hope you enjoy the lessons. We will be looking to run further sessions in the next academic year.
Class assembly
Today we shared our learning with the school and our families. We have thoroughly enjoyed our Stone Age topic! Thank you for coming to watch us.
Altar cloths
Thank you Mrs Towers for our new altar cloths which you kindly made and donated to the school. We shall look forward to moving through the year and dressing the altar with the different colours in line with the church seasons.
Prayer Spaces
Today the Christian Youth Outreach team set up prayer spaces in the library. We thoroughly enjoyed sharing the activities and reflecting by saying please, sorry and thank you for different aspects of our lives. Here are some of the pictures from the day!
Jonah and the Whale
The Holy Council led collective worship following the theme of our Christian value – Courage. The team planned and led a puppet show about Jonah and the Whale. We thoroughly enjoyed our royal picnic to celebrate the wedding. Thank you Maxine for organising this event.
Imam visit
Today we had a visit from Habib who is an Imam. He talked to us another the Islamic faith. We learnt that the word Islam means peace. During our discussions, we learnt about the prophets and the relationship between Christianity and Islam. Thank you Habib for visiting us and teaching us.
Forensic Science Day
Today Dan came to teach us about Forensic Science and how it helps to solve crimes. After discussing DNA and our individual make-up, we used clues to solve a crime! Thank you Mrs Clarke for organising the exciting and educational workshop!
Art Club
This week some budding young artists attended Art Club in school. children really enjoyed their first session and produced some lovely pieces. The club is currently full but we can run another course in the Autumn term if there is enough interest.
Sports champion
Today we had a visit from Ezekiel Ewulo who is a long jump champion. We had fun exercising and racing with him at lunchtime. At the end of the day, we enjoyed learning about his training and even watched a video of one of his amazing jumps!Thank you for supporting our sponsored sports event.
