Some of the children asked for work for over the holidays! I promised I would post something here for them.
Here are the tricky words that all the children need to be able to read and spell. These words cannot be sounded out so they just have be learned by sight. The children are also learning to spell these words which is so helpful for their independent writing.
The children can practise reading these and they can use rainbow writing and Look, Cover, Write, Check to help with spellings.
Year 2 have also started to learn a new set of common exception words which they need to be able to read and spell. These also cannot be sounded out.
