The very greedy bee 25.02

Hello all! I hope you’ve all had a good week so far…

*****NOTE FOR NEXT WEEKS LEARNING*****

You will need a balloon of some sort. Whether this is a water balloon or a normal one, maybe in a bee like colour too… This will be needed for Monday’s learning.

As for the rest of this week:

Art: explore the use of different materials for printing. Create a honey bee or a hive from different materials you can print with using paints. Think of 2D shapes such as pentagons, hexagons, triangles or even think outside the box a little with your hive! Get creative with what you can print with; potatoes, sponges, use your hand/fingers or look at other fruit and veg (ones you don’t want to eat) like peppers…

ICT: Coding. Please click on the link below for another coding activity, this time linking to the very popular game Minecraft.

If you think you could delve into coding a little more, there is a link below which will need more perseverance and determination!

Science/Research: life cycles. Investigate and create the life cycle of a honey bee. Make sure you use the correct terms (names) for each part of the life cycle such as larva… (please look up any words you don’t understand too). Below are some ideas on how you could set up your honey bee life cycle but obviously this is not compulsary.

PSHE: healthy eating – Imagine you are a chef and you have been asked by the Queen Bee to make a delicious, yet healthy snack or meal from her tasty honey. What would you make? How is it healthy? What does the honey do to the snack/meal? Does it make it sweet? sticky? sour? change colour?

I hope you all have a great day of learning!
