Week 3 – Spellings

The children should have a copy of these in their reading records. I have listed them below with some explanations of the rules.

Ck or k pattern

When the /k/ sound follows a short vowel sound then we use ck, otherwise we use k.

Past tense words

Like last week we are looking at words that are past tense. They all use ed but some do not sound like ed.
