What is a Young Carer?

A Young Carer is someone under 18 who helps look after someone in their family, or a friend, who may be ill or disabled.

We are committed to supporting Young Carers in our school

Who to talk to if you are, or think you are a Young Carer

Our school Young Carer leads are Mrs Eastbrook, Miss Jenkins, Miss Barber and Mrs Bevan

There is also support available through Essex Young Carers:

• Keyworkers are available for one to one support

• Respite opportunities

• Targeted group workshops
