World Autism Awareness Day April 2nd.

Today is World Autism Awareness Day which gives us an opportunity to think about, discuss and accept the differences that Autism or ASD makes to peoples lives.

Autism is a lifelong, developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and how they experience the world around them. Here are some top tips from the National Autistic Society to help and support those around with Autism. https://www.autism.org.uk/get-involved/world-autism-awareness-week/practical-tips.aspx

Children and many adults who have Autism have big difficulties with recognising their own and other people’s emotions. This is one of the trickiest barriers for those who have autism and we have put on a couple of useful images to help with this.

We hope that you all have a happy and positive day.
