What’s under our tables?

Today, something unusual was under our tables. The children discovered paper stuck underneath them and had fun drawing upside down! 

Story map

Class one have really enjoyed learning the story of The Gingerbread Man. This afternoon, we decided to create a story map to help us recall the order of the tale. Next week we are going to create questions about the story and the children are keen to quiz their families!

Reading buddies

Today, Class 4 shared stories with Class 1. The children really enjoyed this experience and we would like to do this activity again soon. 

Outside play

Today we did some outside play with Mr Fox. It was really fun.


Today in class one, we looked at some adding altogether.

End of our anti-bullying week

As part of our anti-bullying week we have been learning the lyrics to ‘This is Me’ from the Greatest Showman. Throughout the week we have been thinking about celebrating difference and supporting each other. Here is a quick video of us singing.


This afternoon we did created music using some wooden instruments. We really liked discovering our instruments and he different tempos.

Beanbag skills

In PE today, we have been learning to throw and catch a beanbag. The children worked in teams to throw a beanbag into a hoop, then paired up to throw and catch.

Fantastic cinema!

Yesterday, class one made a cinema in the classroom. We enjoyed creating tickets for everyone to get into the movie and then gave out ‘popcorn” as a snack. The children have scheduled the next movie in their diary. What film will it be next?
