In the open air.

Seeing the fantastic lean to structure being made yesterday reminded me of going to out door or open air theatre showings, I certainly hope that the Forest School area will host some productions, and thought about Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London.

By coincidence it was on the 12th of June 1997 that Queen Elizabeth opened the reconstructed Globe Theatre about 250 yards from it’s original site where it burned down for the final time in 1599.

Have another look at the CBBC production of A Midsummer Night Dream by William Shakespeare which we saw earlier in the year can you imagine it being staged outside?

Are there any other dramas that you can think of that would be fun to do outside, what are they?

There were some brilliant models of the Globe Theatre made during that Topic, you could try again.

Have fun and keep safe.
