Today, we did some learning on our spelling words.
With our HF words, we tried to think of ways to remember how to spell them. This was with phrases such as ‘oh you lucky duck’ for words like ‘would’ or we tried to link it back to our phonics learning and pairing letters together to make digraphs, such as ‘oo’ in ‘look’.
For our prefix spelling words, we spoke about what prefix means and which ones are in our spelling list at the moment (dis, I’m, in and il). Then, we spoke about what our root words could be and how the prefix changes the meaning,
