Spelling Frame and Handwriting Help

Hi again!

I just thought I’d direct your attention towards a couple of useful resources to use this week.

First and foremost, https://spellingframe.co.uk/ is incredibly useful. It is a good one stop shop for spelling practice which I use in class frequently. There are lists of spellings for each year group with games and tests. I would recommend going back through from the start of the Year 3/4 section for a bit of revision, then building from there.

In terms of handwriting, I’m attaching a sheet on here to start with. There are a few useful places you can look. Twinkl has a handwriting font you can download. There are also several sites that are quick and easy to use. I used https://writingwizard.longcountdown.com/multi-word_handwriting_worksheet_maker.php to create the sheet attached – copying and pasting a fact into the boxes. Another good site to use is the cannily named https://www.handwritingworksheets.com/ – if you choose the D’Nealian style, you can create your own sheets with your own choices of words (some based on words they choose themselves can sometimes help engage).

On a side note, you may find the games on https://www.topmarks.co.uk/english-games/7-11-years/writing (particularly the Newspaper and comic ones) useful during this week.

Take care, have a great day,

Mr. Este
