This afternoon we looked at how a volcano is formed through tectonic plate movement and magma. After working on this, we used vinegar and bicarbonate of soda to create a volcano of our own. The reaction between the acid and alkali caused foam to be released, creating the eruption. A lot of children took instructions home to have themselves.
