Giraffes can’t dance! 25.01

Hello Class 2! New week means a new jungle themed book! This week we have got a favourite of mine, Giraffes can’t dance!

Fine motor skills activity: Let’s try a Doh Disco! You can use Playdoh but if you don’t have it, don’t worry! Play foam? Slime? Blue Tac? Or take this opportunity to make Playdoh a home it’s very easy (please do not feel like this is a must though!)

Dough Disco

English: WALT use simple alliteration. ‘Alliteration is when a sentence or a phrase has many words that start with the same sound. In ‘Giraffes can’t dance’, they use examples like Warthogs’ and ‘waltzing’. Can you think of other alliterative phrases that feature a jungle animal doing something unusual, e.g. ‘koalas kicking in karate, hopping hedgehogs’ or a well known one ‘Peter Piper picked a pepper’.

Daily Maths: I have uploaded the whole week below and a coconut ordering game. Please use either 0-20 or 0-100.
