Spelling practise

Spellings have gone home today for both Class 1 and 2.

We practised ours by using resources like magnetic letters, scrabble pieces, phonic sound cubes and just with a white board and pen.

By using the different resources (especially the different types of letters) it promotes fine motor skills, enhances letter recognition and indicates whether the children know what letter they need and if they can differentiate clearly between them. For example, if they need a ‘d’ but choose a ‘b’ instead.

Happy practising at home this weekend and we’ll see you Monday!
