The children were excited to see frost on the field today, this led to a discussion about the difference between frost and snow. We learnt that frost comes when it is warm during the day causing moisture in the air and then the temperature dropping overnight.
The children then explored the outdoor area and not only found frost but ice too. We then talked about ice being water that has frozen rather than individual droplets.
