Friday Fun.

Hello, it is Friday again and the last day of home learning! I do hope you are excited to come back into class, (I am excited that my children are going back to school and college 🙂 ), we have a brand new mud kitchen for you to play with!

Let’s start the day with a shake break!

Today, I would like you to listen to this piece of classical music. It is called ‘Flight of the Bumblebee’ by the composer Rimsky-Korsokov. Whilst listening to it, I would like you to think about the following questions:

How does the music make you feel?

How does it make you want to move?

What picture do you get in your mind?

What do you think the tempo of the music is? Remember, tempo is the speed.

Can you identify any of the instruments used by the orchestra? Your grown ups can help you talk about this question.

I have a design challenge for you linked to this clip from the Bee Movie.

Your task is to design an outfit for Barry the bee to wear on his flights out of the hive. Will you give him a helmet? Goggles? Boots? A stinger protector?

Once you have designed it, If you are in Year one or would like a challenge in Reception, label the outfit. Be imaginative.

Please make sure you send in work from your home learning. Mrs Archer and I will be creating a home learning board to showcase what you have been doing over the lockdown period.

Have a great day and weekend. See you Monday!
