Snow day experiment.

Hello, I hope you are having fun in the snow again. Send me your snow day pictures. I see Jasmine and Annalise have been having fun in the snow.

Anyway, I thought I would try an experiment which you could all try at home.

I want to see whether hot water or cold water will freeze the fastest and as the temperature outside is sub zero, it is a great experiment to do as we are lucky to have snow.

Now, I wanted to use balloons but didn’t have any, so I have improvised with a freezer bag of which you can do the same.

I filled one with hot water from the kitchen tap and one with cold water. I thought it’d be fun to pop something inside to get trapped in the ice too.

For the experiment, I am going to time how long both take to freeze. I’ll let you know the results tomorrow. It would be great if you carried out this snow day activity, trap a toy inside the ice and then you have the task of trying to release it.

Good luck, I hope you enjoy the activity.
