Thursday’s activities

Hello! Hope everyone is well.

Today is going to be a creative day. Below is a simple recipe for salt dough.

2 cups flour

1 tbsp oil

1/2 cup salt

1-2 cups of hot water add in increments to prevent stickiness.

Food colouring

What I would like you to do is make the salt dough by adding the flour and salt together, then the oil and finally the water. I would like you to write instructions so that anyone can understand how to make the dough.

Year one, I would like you to use the following sequence vocabulary.

First

next

then

finally

after

Reception can you create a pictorial sequence of a recipe for the dough.

Once you have made your dough, create a character from the story of The Little Red Hen. You may even make mini loaves of bread too. Ask your grown up to bake it in the oven to harden and then you can either paint it or use felt tips to decorate.

Have fun, I look forward to seeing some photos.
