Good morning all, well done on completing another week of learning at home. Everyone at St Nicholas are extremely proud of you.
We will start our day with a shake break. Another one of our favourites from class.
I hope you were able to watch the video I posted yesterday regarding plants. Today, I would like you to draw a picture of a plant, including the roots, and label it. I would like Yr1 to label the following:
Stem, root, petal, leaves, seeds and flower.
I would then like you to research what function each of these parts of the plant are responsible for.
YR, I would like you to draw the plant and talk to your grown up about the root, leaves and flowers.
I would also like you to think about what a plant needs to survive.
When you are out on your daily walk today, watch the insects around you. Do they go to a particular flower? Why do you think that is? Reason your answers and have a conversation with your grown up.
Other than that, enjoy being outdoors. Have a lovely weekend, stay safe and check in on Monday for more learning.
