Continuing to improve our library – Can you help?

I’d like to start by saying thank you to everyone who has donated a range of different texts to our library. The comics especially have been a big hit so far!

I am currently looking at the next stages in improving our library space. Not only is it one of the first areas visible within the school, it is also frequently used for groups, meetings and….well….reading!

The first big job I want to look at is improving the aesthetics of the space. This is where I have to ask very nicely for help.

Ideally, I would like to get the brick wall plastered then painted with a mural or book covers to brighten up the space. If that isn’t possible, at least painting the brickwork will lighten up the space.

What I’m asking is if there are any parents or members of the school community out there who would be willing to give up some of their time to help make a difference and make the library a better space for the children to enjoy? Reading and enjoying reading is massively important in children’s development and the more we can do to encourage this, the better.

Thank you for taking the time to read. Please come and find me for a chat if you have any ideas or think you can help.

Many thanks,

Mr. Este
