Class assembly
On Wednesday afternoon, Class 4 shared their learning with the school in their Class assembly. Thank you to all the parents/carers for joining us – we really enjoyed sharing a selection of the fun we have in school.
School Council Visit
Today, the School Council welcomed visitors to our school from Kelvedon St. Mary’s Primary Academy. The two School Councils worked together on school improvement matters. Thank you to the team of children for being fantastic hosts and celebrating all our achievements and ideas here at Tolleshunt D’Arcy.
Armistice Day
Today, the whole school fell silent at 11am as part of our Remembrance Services. Class 4, attended their service at church led by Revered Sarah-Clare. Thank you Edward and Caitlyn for your beautiful readings in church.
Firework fun!
Class 1 had a fabulous afternoon thinking about Fireworks and safety. We enjoyed making firework sounds and actions as well as painting firework pictures and making firework breadstick sparklers!
Safety week
This week has been very exciting in school and we have all been learning about how to keep ourselves and others safe! Thank you to all the team for organising all the fun activities. Well done to all the children for being so responsible and working together to help each other achieve!
Church visit
Today, Class 1 visited St. Nicholas church and met Rvd. Tracey and Linda. They thoroughly enjoyed exploring the church, sitting on the pews, counting the crosses and completing the quiz! Super reading!
Well done to all the children for super reading this week!
Super counting!
Today we took our learning outside. We used chalk to make number lines and used the playground markings to read higher numbers. The year 1’s challenged themselves to count in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s!
The Lord’s Prayer
Today, Reverend Sarah led our Collective Worship and helped us to think about The Lord’s Prayer. We thought about the words and their meaning. I am very proud of the children and their responses. Thank you Reverend Sarah for helping us and leading our worship.
