Fathers Day Tea

Thank you to Mrs Longhurst and Mrs Chambers for all their hard work organising another successful afternoon. Thank you to all the Dads, Grandads and Uncles for joining us. A wonderful community event!

Sports day practice

Today in class one, we completed some more Practice for sports day which is coming up. We completed two events today: hockey and hurdles. We had so much fun practicing and having team races.

Cudmore Grove

The children in Class 1 are excited about their trip out tomorrow. They do not have to wear school uniform but please ensure they have sensible clothing and footwear (no flip-flops please). The weather is looking brighter but please provide a coat just incase! Thank you

Clay Faces

This week we sculpted clay faces. We used masks from different cultures around the world for inspiration. We looked at how emotion was shown through the different shapes we could see. Thriftwood

We have had a wonderful time at Thriftwood Scout Camp. We thoroughly enjoyed kayaking, abseiling, singing songs round the camp fire and much more! Thank you to Mr Hopegood and Mrs Eastbrook for a fun few days.

Camping

Today class one helped to put our tent up in the garden. The children have had great fun setting up camp, with our washing line, camp fire and seating area. The children then made a delicious camp feast for each other with our pretend food.

Recycled DIY

Today in class 3, we created many different projects out of recycled products in order to re-use them. This was so much fun and a real task to try to utilise all of the materials. We also completed some weaving using recycled plastic bags.

Counting on and back

Some of us were practising counting on and back today. We have found that when we are subtracting that we are skipping numbers or counting two numbers as one. We used wool with cubes strung on them to help us spot when we made these mistakes.

Show and share reminder
