The Boy who cried Wolf

In collective worship today we discussed the importance of being truthful and honest. We thought about the consequences of our actions to ourselves and others.

ICT – Story Planning

To help us plan our stories, we used the iPads to create stop motion animations. Here are some of our first attempts. We have already started to think about how we might include the skills we have been practising in our stories, by telling each other the story from our plan or animation.

The plural spelling rules we have covered this week are as follows. Strawberry the dragon

This week in class one we have been learning about Chinese New Year. The children and Mr Fox made a lucky dragon! ​ ​

Circulatory system 

In science, we learnt about the circulatory system and smooth muscles in our blood vessels. Do not worry, it  is only red water!​ ​

Equivalent fractions

Today we looked at equivalent fractions and percentages. Miss Scotchford made this lesson really funny. We worked hard but managed to have lots of fun.

Playground markings

Today, the School Council met with Luke to plan and design the playground markings. They worked hard using squared paper to plan the layout of the markings. The markings are due to be installed in the Summer term. Thank you Luke for all of our hard work and support with this project.

Invasion games

We played an invasion game of bench ball today in P.E. Our focus was to throw and catch the ball, marking our opponents safely and showing our peers we were ready to receive the ball using our facial expressions. We also used body language and called out our team members names to get their attention.

Maths Homework

Each child should have taken home this Maths practise booklet today. This is due in on 12th February along with the creative homework already set.  Please assist your Child if necessary and of course they can speak to us if they are unsure. Thank you.
