It’s Snowing!!!

Class one were extremely excited to see the snow falling today. We decided to go outside and catch snowflakes on our tongues, it was super fun.

Carousel learning

Today class 3 decided to participate in ‘carousel learning’. This involved participating in lots of different activities at the same time. This was really fun and interesting to see what we were going to achieve over the entire day.

Today in collective worship we looked at the story of the Hare and the Tortoise. Particularly focussing on the perseverance shown by the Tortoise and the importance of being kind.

Today we thought about  important British people. We then worked together to create timelines.

Division – written methods

In maths we have been using written methods to share. Here are some examples. We shared using counters

What’s the secret to great writing? It’s Narnia business!

Today we’ve been finishing our descriptive paragraphs based on Narnia. We’ve worked in groups to come up with the best version of the paragraph we can. We can now move on to designing and describing our own worlds.

We shall have order!

Today in class one, we had a look at ordering our numbers from 0 to 10. We did this by creating a person-sized number line. We had lots of fun doing this. We are now number experts!

Class assembly

Today we shared our learning journey with the school during our class assembly. We have been learning about maps and symbols in geography, programming in ICT, adding and partitioning in maths and much more! Thank you Mr Salmon and Miss Barber for helping us with our learning.
