Today we read through the fairytale story of Jack and the beanstalk. Whilst Miss Mansell read out the story, we also acted out some of the crucial parts of the story. We had lots of fun doing this!

Today we learnt about inequalities <> and =. We had forgotten which way they went when we compare numbers. We used balances to visualise the symbols. This helped us see that the inequality always ‘chomped’ the larger number. By the end we could solve problems like this: 23 < ? < 50

Today in collective worship we made lucky red and gold money envelopes. We wrote good luck messages to our friends. We also had fun finding out what Chinese animals we were according to our year of birth. We are rats,tigers,rabbits,dogs and even Ox. No wonder we can be so noisy!
Today we joined together during our Lego Workshop to create a town. We worked in teams to create houses, boats, cars and much much more! Today, the whole school worked together to make a giant Lego town. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves learning together and making another lovely memory.
This morning we have been developing and questioning ideas for an Egyptian story. We are helping each other to develop our initial ideas in preparation for writing our own stories next week. Whoever knew there was such a thing as a serpopard?!
