Cooking

Today we made chocolate crispie cakes! We are looking forward to eating them later on today…

Oliver Jeffers

Last week we wrote Our own version of Oliver Jeffers’ Lost and Found using only the pictures to guide us. This week we got the watercolours out and recreated some of the illustrations from the story. We practised creating a colour wash over a large area. Here are some of our pictures.

Class 1 reading with class 3

Yesterday class 1 read their reading books with the help of class 3. They really enjoyed spending some quality time with class 3 and reading with their peers.

PE games (do you want to build a snowman?)

Today we did our own PE lesson which involved many different exciting winter related games including having a snowball fight using paper balls, building a snowman using some of our PE equipment and finally a paper-chain relay.

Christmas assembly

Today Canon Paul led our Christmas assembly. We thought about Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas Bazaar

Well done to all of our creators and artist who made our Christmas decorations. We have had great fun running our stall. Thanks to all who bought a Christmas tree decoration from us.

Shopkeepers

We got the money out to practise being shop keepers ready for the Chrostmas Bazaar.  Don’t forget to visit our stall in class 2 later on today.

Measuring Maths

We made our own reindeer food to practise how to measure.  We used the scales to measure out exact amounts.

Light experiment

Today we were learning to make predictions in Science. We talked abut light and what we already know before carrying out our experiment. We noticed that a picture of an arrow appears to flip over when we look at at through water! We talked about how this occurs as the light refracts.

Christingle Service

We shared a special Christingle service together today. A big thank you to the church team for leading the service and helping us to make the Christingles and to understand the significance of each part.
